Fancy’s Cottage goes live

After a number of delays, we have finally gone live with a new website for Fancy’s cottage in Dartmouth. I visited Vicky Maxwell, the owner a week or so ago in order to run through the CMS and Booking system, both of which are extremely easy to use.

There were no outside agencies used for this build as Vicky was happy enough with the logo I created myself, using a simple script font in a sort of ‘duck egg’ or ‘French’ blue, similar to colours used on the exteriror of the cottage and the main house.

The website is built using wordpress and then a theme called ‘Angular’ was used to set the initial layout. The site is 100% responsive and does a great job with images and slideshows etc, when viewed on the smaller formats.

As usual, the layout is clean and uncluttered and we have tried to make it as much about the photos as possible, whilst keeping enough functionality to make bookings and view availibility of the cottage easily. It was important to Vicky to get the booking functionality nice and easy to use and we used a plug-in from xxx to achieve this.

There may be changes over the next year with adding other properties etc and that is why we have used a CMS like WordPress that we know can take the expansion and change in it’s step.

The site looks great and I am really pleased with it.
