Carol Price is a very old friend of mine and when I found out she wanted a website for her and her boyfriend’s (Simon Townsend) diving school in Spain, I was really chuffed to be involved.
The ITDA (International Technical Diving Association) wanted a new website with reliable hosting to give a professional online presence to their esteemed organisation.
We started off quite slow and did a lot of work in creating a logo/brand, using Michelle Lovegrove once again to create the artwork. And I have to say, it was worth the wait as the result was stunning – see here.
Michelle worked with Carol and Simon for quite some time to make sure we got this just right and we were all pleased with the results. We then took the colours and used them to create a serene, calm website full of information for the public – and hidden away, for their members too.
Though the website is very clean and minimal, it does pack in some powerful features for members. For instance instructors can login to the secure area and upload their students details in order to apply for certification through a quite lengthy, yet easy to follow online form.
We are just talking to Simon now about updating the website and adding a small online shop and a few other features, so the website is more than capable of growing with his business – because that is how we design all of our sites.
Both Carol and Simon have logged in to edit content on the site and both found it straight forward enough, using the trusted WordPress CMS. They were also kind enough to go to WWDC and leave us a personal recommendation, this is what they said:
Technical Diving is a fairly specialist area and we had very specific ideas for the design of our website. Max (Pig Farmer Designs) was able to lift our ideas and produce a website that reflected exactly what we had asked for. He communicated with us throughout the process and fortunately for me it was all very jargon free. Although there have been a couple of complications, they were dealt with quickly and effectively. We are really happy with the final outcome, we have a modern, slick, no nonsense website which is perfect for our needs. Thanks Max
